For two months, from November to January, Prague comes fully alive with its annual Christmas Market, which draws an unbelievable number of international tourists and locals together in the city every single year.

The Prague Christmas Markets run daily throughout this time from 9am-7pm, and allow you to peruse hundreds of stalls, mainly located in the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, selling hand made and traditional Christmas and festive fare, including gifts, decorations and locally produced food. There are many hotels near the Prague Christmas Market, situated around the main squares, and they often become fully booked during the festive season so may require booking well in advance. Prague hotels are often as well lit with fairy lights as the squares and parks themselves, and it truly is a magical experience to visit the Prague Christmas Market and stay in the local vicinity, where you can purchase mulled wine and hot chocolate from the street vendors and enjoy the winter wonderland the event turns Prague into. Prontohotel.com is a great site to book your hotel in Prague through, so you can get wonderful and central hotels at a great price, catering to your needs so you can enjoy your Christmas holiday without any worries.
